Awesome! Who else is playing? I want to start a ska band, just to play shows when the Bishops come to town.MATT MUTT wrote:The Bishops will be back Saturday the 27th at the Beechwood Lounge. if you like Ska/Reggae/Rocksteady this band is a must see!

I'll sing and help write songs for/with ya Jordan!
The life we lead, so pure to me
The strength we built, true honesty
Our loyalty we won't betray
Our roots so strong, they'll never fade

Fuck that, I'm thrilled there's not an opening act.
$5, Jordan. It's five fucking dollars. You can pay $5 for someone to entertain you for an hour.

Well, I also have to drive down and back from Ames, plus, when you are in one of the opening bands on a fairly regular basis, you forget how much paying for shows sucks. I'll go anyways.El Rhino wrote:jjjsXe wrote:MATT MUTT wrote:the word I got was it's just them, no openers.

I'm under the impression they are going to do 2 sets. They might stretch it out to 2 hours.

I think that's more or less what they did last time they played here. One set of their material and then one set of covers - which was really sweet.
Re: The Bishops - Sat. 27th - Feb.
Yea....they did a great cover of Dandy Livingstone's "A Message to You, Rudy." Right on key. It would be even better if they did "Skinhead, a message to you" by Desmond Riley.
