due to government assistance. but because of how it's currently run, children with government assistance are seen most often in the ER, increasing costs and decreasing future health. they don't get the well-baby checks, the annual check-ups, etc. from a normal PCP, because many PCPs don't accept the current government assistance. i see it everyday, we ask who the baby/infant/child's PCP is and the parents just say "we have title IX, we don't have a primary." sure, children aren't denied ER visits, because legally, the ER cannot deny anyone. but they aren't getting the health screens and primary one-on-one they really need.

i think not having a pcp has more to do with the parents being ignorant of where to go/lazy/etc. i had no problem with getting a pcp for my kids when i first got to iowa and had to get the govt insurance and my kids all got the necessary pcp checkups/ vaccinations. granted i wasnt on it for very long cause i dont like having to use that but had no trouble while i was.

i am indeed. i eat well (lots of fruit and veggies, fish, chicken, cut out most of the bad shit i used to eat), i work out 5 times a week and im losing weight. no high blood pressure, no diseases or issues of any kind, slightly elevated cholesterol (understandable being a fat dude) and im feeling pretty good. i got a long way to go but im actually getting it done this time. feeling good, thanks for noticing.
