Buy it, or if you know someone who is good with cars tell them to buy it.

I might have inquired about this, but I cannot bring myself to willingly engage your mom in conversation.

Re: Ford Van
Nick, we've had the same white one for the past year or so. She decided to buy this one and then it quit working on her and she doesn't wanna bother fixing it.
Tyler, it doesn't do anything. It ran fine the first few days she had it, then she asked me to start and I tried and nothing. No "clicking" and she's had the battery tested and it works fine. It might be a solenoid problem? I have no idea thoughl

Re: Ford Van
Bad connection. Trace the battery cables to their respective ends (ground goes to the block most likely, positive goes to the starter, alternator, etc. Check for corrosion on the battery terminals, and make sure they're tight. This could also be a shot alternator, solenoid , or voltage regulator (I fairly sure this would NOT be an internal regulator*). Try taking either or off, go to the auto parts store and they'll test them for free. I would be willing to bet it's one of these. If I lived in DSM, I'd buy it for $400, fix it in about a half hour, and sell it for a grand, but I live to far away to fuck with it.
*This means the alternator and the voltage regulator are seperate parts, as opposed to the regulator being inside the alternator, like on new vehicles. The reg will be on the pasenger side frame just under the hood, most likely. I could be wrong about this, but I think it's old enough to have one.

Re: Ford Van
Jordan, I still have the iPod.
Joey, I'll tell her about all this. I know the battery stuff is fine, I put it back in and tightened all that shit up myself. I was thinking about getting new battery connectors cause I know that helped with my truck when I still had it.
