It's all about the arpeggio sweeps and minor dyxiloadian scales.

Nobody cares if a band can play musically technical arrangements if they aren't memorable and enjoyable. Nobody but you, I guess. Yeah, it's sweet when I can listen to a band and think, "Wow, these dudes are really good at their instruments," but only if the songs themselves aren't just bullshit self-aggrandizing displays of technicianship crow barred into each other.
Nobody gives a shit about how well thought out an arrangement is. LOL, so obviously you only listen to improve jazz groups. Oh wait, that doesn't really work either...
ATB is hardly a display of 'technicianship'- probably only mediocre among a lot of stuff I listen to, but that's not the point. Rhythmically they're incredibly tight. It's actually quite remarkable. A lot of their stuff transitions well, some of it doesn't, but that's where they differ from all the other core bands. Take a band like JFAC who've never incorporated any type of melodic or harmonic idea and it's virtually IMPOSSIBLE to fuck up a transition. I've only seen ATB live once and it was in an awesome venue in Anaheim during Summer Slaughter. I almost walked out on their set because they opened with some homo core break down, but by the end of their set, I was quite impressed. There's a lot more going on than you hear or understand.
If ANYBODY on this board shouldn't be listening to this band, it's definitely me, but I do.

Yes and you would know because you took a music history class at DMACC.

Typically the mourners would then move to another location for a reception, where hor d'oeurves such as cocktail weenies, meatballs and cold cuts are served. Desserts such as sheet cake, brownies and cookies may also be served along with beverages. Socializing takes place here, generally of a lighter nature than that of the wake or funeral. People may often share stories about their dearly departed.

I wish! I will get out my credit card right now if this class covers quasi genres circa 2005.

Glass House is in Pamona. It was at the Grove. It's right in the parking lot of the Anaheim Angels ballpark, whatever the fuck it's called.

Aside from the shitty bands, this was fun. Stoked to see a lot of familiar faces.
