Yeah, ever since Super Size Me came out, the trend in documentaries has been about the food industry. It's pretty eye opening. My favorite one I've seen so far is probably "King Corn." That was a great film. Trailer below if you haven't heard of it:

King Corn is really good thanks for suggesting it. Food Inc talks about Monsanto its pretty fucked up. I'd like to know more. If anyone has suggestion i'm open to them.

I just watched the third Zeitgeist movie Saturday and have to say the first one is the best. I would suggest it i don't know about the conspiracy part in the middle but the money and religion stuff is gold.

First off AWESOME some else has watched this. I just got it in the mail the other day...wowowow. really well done.

Close to the same subject, but still a bit off. Has anyone seen "earthlings" that one was a hard video to watch, anyone who is (more specifically) into animal rights, veganism and so on and so on would really enjoy that not as much shock value but more along the lines of how we depend on animals in all aspects. including food.

Andrea and I totally saw this at the Fleur, Kurtis. You lose!

It's pretty good. Monsanto is shitty. And I just bought Stonyfield yogurt today!

Pretty interesting documentary. Definitely made me question some of my eating habits.

I lived down the street from the Monsanto headquarters and it was a pretty shady place. My friend and I got arrested for skateboarding on their property and the cop pretty much told us people try to break into that place all the time for top secret information. I guess they were worried we were trying to do the same thing haha.

We should get a documentaries thread going on here.

is this the one thats narrated by Joaquin Phoenix? if so suzy watched it over the summer, she said it was pretty graphic but she liked it a lot

I enjoyed king corn, it took a little bit of a different approach then your typical food documentary. the best part was when they were trying to make HFCS.
I've got that PMA

Haha, I thought I saw you! But I think you had a hat on so I wasn't sure. And I could not afford to lose my spot in the coveted 12 Items or Less line.
