Hell yeah!!

Pretty gutsy opening and closing with the Bass/Drum duos...

Not seeing a lot of fliers and the usual classy posters around town.

i've put up some nice 11x17s around the 4th street area. I've sent all the bands two versions of the posters and one is available at the top of this thread.
Just saying, do some shit.
We're just two people and one lives in Omaha and there are 20 bands on this thing.

This show is gonna be sweet!

GOD damn this show was so fucking good.

Porkin's Ghost - Somebody get this daddy bear a fuzz pedal and maybe some Kyuss records. First show? I'd go see it again with tighter songs and louder drums.

Orville Sash - What the fuck do you think? This band is always so fun to watch. Loud and nasty. Brandons Wiggins playing on the stage with everyone else playing on the floor was a nice touch, as was playing behind the curtain.

Atombender - This was probably the best time I have ever seen this band. Lots of energy coming from these dudes. I wish they would play a little bit faster though.

Knuckled Down - Genuinely got some goosebumps during their set with everyone circlepitting and headbanging, I love punk. Excellent set tonight, sweet covers. Fuck you Zach Willer for stage diving into only me.

D R U I D S - If this band doesn't get big it'll be one of the biggest crimes against humanity in recent history. They are definitely better than most bigger bands playing in the same style that I've seen come through Iowa. I doubted the switch to guitar from bass, but after seeing it live, I am a believer. This band is amazing, so don't miss out catching a show from them. Too bad they only played a short set because Keith was shopping at Jordan Creek. jk.

Oui Bandits - K.

Wet Chemistry - I loved this shit. A lot of their parts reminded me of the band Ulver. I wish Will would've sang louder, but other than that, I was really in this. Also, what is unofficially being called Wet Dream, when everyone got on stage and backed these dudes... yeah, that was awesome.

Deep Sleep Waltzing - This was my first time seeing them with their new drummer, and this dude made DSW a lot more energetic. Great set through and through except for when the girl told me and James to stop playing tambourine because it drowned out the sound of her egg shaker. Buzz kill!

So Many Wizards - Watched a few songs. D-beat folk. jk. Actually, not jk, heard a dbeat and got stoked, haha.

SO... pretty fucking stoked on the music coming out of Des Moines lately. Keep it up!

i had a ton of fun last night...that's all i've gotta say. i tried getting off of work for like a month so i could be there for the whole thing but that wasn't happening. :/ so, as lame as my night was BEFORE i got there, it definitely got gnarly as hell when i got to play. love playing very much and i'm glad at least joe enjoyed it! :) hahaha.

This show was outta control.

Loved every band. Knuckled Down killed it as always. Druids blew my socks off. Awesome time, good to see everyone.

LOL Thanks, Joe. I never got to thank Micah for all his help, but I did meet Adam; thank you all for putting us on the CD and the show.

I've got a Bass Big Muff, but I didn't count of the distortion channel of the Marshall crapping out on me 1/2 way thru the set. I own, "Blues for the Red Sun" and all the Desert Sessions; Nick Oliveri is one of my heroes. We'll tighten up the improvisation and do it again, probably the Haunted Basement if they'll have us.

Trust us to come correct next time.

Thanks to all the bands!

We were hoping there'd be more people on a Friday, kind of a weird night.

That group of West Des Moines teenage girls causing trouble out on the sidewalk was funny.

Thanks for the love, Joe!

Atombender was really bummed that we couldn't stay for Druids...our drummer had to work at 9 in Ames. The rest of the show was sweet though. It was my first time seeeing Knuckled Down.

Thanks, Joe.

we were bound to have them sooner or later.

dont worry. i like the song but its kind of a departure from our normal sound and i dont think we'll repeat another song like it.
