I am taking a three week study abroad trip to Ireland in May. We are going to Dublin, Sligo, Doolin, and Dingle.

I was wondering if any of you have been to Ireland and know of anything sweet I should do along the way. I just found out today that there is a sweet stoner/doom scene in Ireland, so that's going to be sweet.

But, yeah, discuss.

Here's whats to do in Ireland:

Get drunk.
Fight.
Kiss the Blarney Stone.
Pronounce the word "Celtic" incorrectly.
Look at green grass.

I'm all about getting drunk and I will do more than look at the green grass.

Get it? I mean smoke weed.

On the way home from Iraq we stopped at the Shannon International Airport for a couple of hours. We drank the duty-free shop out of whiskey and clogged up the bar for the whole time. I had a couple cigarettes outside and it looked nice. Then they announced over the intercom that it was time for us to get back to the plane. As we were heading towards the plane, one lone Irish guy stands up and starts clapping. He looked like he was out of an Irish Spring commercial or something. Then everyone stands up and starts clapping and saying "God bless you lads" and shit like that.

Nice people over there.

A. DO NOT KISS THE BLARNEY STONE.
-i have been told the locals piss on it

B. When in Dublin go to Guiness Brewery and Jameson Distillery
-they are a good time.

C. Try and go to the Cliffs of Mohr and Ring of Kerry. Both are fantastic.
-a couple people a year fall off the Cliffs to a certain death.

D. ***VERY IMPORTANT*** when in a bar, if someone buys you a drink you are supposed to buy them one back, it is a tradition! Bars in smaller towns are way cooler cuz you get all the awesome crazy locals.

E. Try and visit Gallway, it is a rad city. Dublins okay but i wouldnt spend more than 2 days in that town if possible.

F. Visit as many Castles and Churches as you can.....they are fukin sweet architecture!
eat me.

Good advice.

I think we are going to the Cliffs of Mohr for sure. And, I have four days during my three weeks to do anything I want to do and go wherever I want to go. A lot of people go to Galway, so I might do that if I stay in Ireland.

Depending on the price of last minute airfare, I'd like to go to other places too. I've never been to Europe, so I'm ready for a sweet experience.

my family had a small castle there many many years ago.

sometime after being accused of murdering a tax collector and leaving the country, i think the land ended up being siezed by the government.

you should find whatever is left of that castle.

and france is beautiful, if you have the money to check it out while over there. england is cool too.
