The fact that they are snotty and blatantly racist is the absolute only problem I have with Asians. Don't get me wrong, in Asia, they have every right to dislike whites, but not here. A large majority of the Asians I've dealt with have had an attitude towards me because I'm white. Don't come to my country and be rude to me. If you don't like white people, fine. Go back to Asia, and you won't have to deal with them. That being said, they work (for the most part atleast). They're not welfare whores, and a lot of them participate in our economy by running businesses. On top of that, they don't make up something like 85% of the criminal population in this country, unlike two other ethnicities I can think of. Everyone has their flaw I guess........

My best friend is korean and that's him to a T. Always makes comments about how "white people smell like feet" and etc. at very inappropriate times but at the same time, he is quite offended anytime the word "nigger" is spoken. Quite a conundrum. Last time I was with him, he had a bunch of korean kids with him that I'd never met before and I kept making fun of him and all of them about "what kind of chinese" they were and what kind of chinese they spoke. I make fun of him about having a small penis. I make fun of his parents. I make fun of the food he eats. And I WILL NOT ride in a car with him if he is driving.

And yet he is still the most blatantly racist person I know...but he gets a pass because he's not white.

Another plus about Asians is that they really help out Polk County by fueling the casino. Those people absolutely LOVE to gamble. Matter of fact, I believe the people who owned my house before me foreclosed on this place due to gambling related debt. I get post cards from every casino in a 400 mile radius in this person's name. Thanks for blowing a good portion of your hard-earned money at Prairie Meadows. Now we'll slide some of that over to run the county and pass some of that on to local charities.

Most SE Asians are a little warmer and more outgoing than the Chinese or Koreans. Although they've certainly got their quirks, I really don't mind Asians. My neighborhood is very Lao/Vietnamese heavy and they don't give me any problems at all. The closest house of worship to me is a Buddhist temple and once a year in June they have a big hootenanny... driving in this area can get very dicey when they're all out and about, but that's about it.

speaking of asians: i hung out with cecil on thursday for his b-day. he drank hennessy and cokes all night and then danced like michael jackson to "billy jean". 2 of the most asian things ive ever seen him do.

Uhhhh, people want to go to China to compete because that's where the Olympics are. If the Olympics were being held in Waterloo, Iowa or Clickety-Clackety, Zimbabwe, people would want to go there and compete too. People dedicate large chunks of their lives training for events like this and I doubt anyone is going to be seriously dismayed that it's in China, like "Oh fuck that. I was hoping it was going to be in France or someplace cool this year. I guess I'll just continue to work on my pole vault until the Olympics go someplace else"

I've never been there and I don't really want to go there. I hear it's dirty as fuck, kind of a shitty place and I don't have much interest in Asian cultures.

If I ever won the lottery and spent the rest of my life traveling or something, I would definitely hit up China. Parts of Western China like Kashgar seem interesting, but as of now I have no interest in China.
