I couldn't find the old one, but i have a special report. After filling my tank at a Casey's here in Johnston, i was perusing the candy aisle, and something new caught my eye!! TOOTSIE POP DROPS!!! That's right, just like a tootsie pop, but without a stick and disc shaped like a cough drop. All the flavors in one bag. Amazing. Couldn't find a pic.

I think my favorite candy is still chocolate covered almonds. I love those things, even almond Hershey bars. I go through a lot of spearmint star mints at work though.

I have never been able to handle the cadbury eggs. I don't know why, but they have never appealed to me.

I am killing the star mints at work though as well. Like every 3rd cube has a basket full.

OK, tried out a new product today= Skittles Chocolate Mix. Here are the flavors: S'mores, Vanilla, Chocolate Caramel, Chocolate Pudding and Brownie Batter.
They are pretty bad, i wouldn't suggest it. Bad idea, really.

In other candy news, my favorite candy ever, Fiesta Eggs, have hit the shelves.

I have been snacking on Sweet Tarts jelly beans all day.

Good stuffs. The coating crumbles and turns to powder just like a regular Sweet Tart does when you chew it.

I went out to Target tonight and bought some...I can confirm that they are delicious. The grape ones taste like cool-aid though....and not in a good way.

I also bought a bag of dark chocolate Cadbury Mini Eggs. So good.

I think I will try the Mike and Ike jelly beans next time I have a candy craving...but that isn't very often.

Used to make cinnamon candy at home. Pouring the flavoring in the boiling sugar is the best part since it floods the entire house with cinnamon.

Really want some jujubes or blue raspberry liquorice rope.

Pretty sure I've eaten at least 4 cadbury eggs in the last two days.

Strawberry and white chocolate hershey kisses are ruining me right now... sooo good! They're Valentines edish so I dunno if they're actually available to buy right now.

Micah, thanks for the chocolate Skittles update. I saw those and gagged a little bit.

I thought you were vegan for some reason?

I also like this candy:

http://www.asiachi.com/kopcofcan.html

Kopiko coffee flavored candy. Upon a little research, I guess they're from Indonesia, I thought they were Thai. They sell them at the local Asian stores and they're usually pretty cheap, like $2 a bag. There's another brand that might be Thai and aren't as good, but still ok.

If anyone has any suggestions for some good coffee candy from a developed country, I'm all ears. Until then, I'll stick with my third world candy.

Nah. If I cook or bake food myself it's usually vegan, but I don't make a huge effort when I'm not cooking or baking it myself...

On a related note, finding fruity candy without gelatin in it sux. Twizzlers are nast and swedish fish get old fast. I just want some tropical starbursts, for chrissakes.

Weird, I was thinking about that yesterday and decided not to ask. Red Vines and Zotz should foot that bill.

Dark chocolate covered espresso beans destroy as for coffee treats. Coffee ice cream is also a solid standard.
