Re: Friday the 13th (2009)
The opening sequence was great. And the hanging sleeping bag was probably the greatest death in the movie, and an awesome homage. The bow & arrow was a nod to his mom, who used it once...and did you notice the wheelchair in his pad? Just adds to the fact that he always covers everything up. I th...

Re: Friday the 13th (2009)
John, you're thinking about it too hard. Do we really want a new and creative portrayal of Jason? Isn't that what space Jason was? They stuck to what worked, what everyone really loves about Jason; a silent, mongoloid killing machine that tactfully whacks douchebag characters in inventive ways. I th...

Re: Friday the 13th (2009)
It will be good. They've ditched the campyness to go for a more realistic and truly scary approach. Jason actually runs fast, and demonstrates his strategy and knowledge of the area in this one. I thought the TCM remake was very well done, it was an accurate depiction of the tale with a modern feel....

Aw this album rips! I didn't think they had any more material to release...such a great band, I'm glad this popped up.
TJ, have you heard Hail!Hornet? Members of Sourvein, Weedeater, and Eric Larsen on drums. I've been spinning that a lot lately

Re: HAUNTED BASEMENT: RE-UP
You don't know how much I wish the Haunted Basement was around during my time in Des Moines. I remember going to "the office" on my summer off from O-town a year ago, but I'm too tied up here now to have ever made it to a show there since it's recent evolution into a venue. That said, I th...

Re: attn: Littlefoot
TJ: I discovered another Left Lane Cruiser album, this one put out in 06. Its got some different versions of a few newer songs, and I must say, I almost like it better, at least the production sounds better than the other album I have. Either way, thanks for the recommendation, and enjoy. http://www...

Yeah man, I've been busy with multiple jobs, but I can still find time to jam out to something heavy. I can get behind another upload thread for sure though. those MoTA and Black Angels records are still kicking my ass too. I used to have some Gospel shiz, but definately not the new one. I gotta che...

Re: Photoshop
I view GIMP to be more as a product of a niche market. The name is pretty silly, but I don't think its really trying to attract new users. The software is developed by unpaid volunteers, paying for any sort of marketing campaign or updated branding is probably not a concern. its a great free image-e...

Damn, I wish this was closer.
Funny, I just finished an assignment for school that included a complete album design and a mock show poster.

Re: I now own a Bengal kitten,
I wish I had 400 dollars. I'd buy 20 kittens and give them to all the poor, lonely children who can't afford one.
