I DID carry nunchaku. Maybe I'll give those dudes some respect when they can fly and throw fireballs.

Liar's Club. haha. I checked that shit out in January and I'm STILL laughing.
What is with these Dragon Ball Z-haired dudes? I saw a ton of them this weekend. It's like they just sprouted out of nowhere. I hope they haven't overrun Des Moines yet.

Re: look familiar
I was loitering out front with some friends and the little guy kinda scurried right through our group. In the process, he did this little jump maneuver which immediately made me think that he was the jackass midget. It looked like he was trying to skateboard without the board. Then Mencia and posse ...

Re: look familiar
Speaking of Carlos Mencia, I ran into him a few nights ago at a diner. It was 1:30AM and he had a midget in tow. No joke. I snapped a picture as I was biking home. I would have taken a closer picture, or tried to have a cheesy picture taken with him, but I fucking hate the dude and I wouldn't have b...

Re: Oasis vs. Blur
Oasis always seemed shamelessly derivative to me. They're good at what they do, but Blur has a larger and more varied catalogue. Blur are one of my favorite bands where Oasis doesn't rank at all. I'm not necessarily against being derivative as long as your source material is good, and it was, but Oa...

I remember the bass player being a pretty cute girl, but it was a few years ago that I saw them. I hope she's still in the band.

Sweet. Des Moines needs more cool shit on this level.
I tried to get my bike built through a collective here, but my only day off that they would do builds on was "GLBT day". They even used the word "patriarchy" in the description on their website. Oy vey.

so yeah varg that would be cool and true and all if anyone with a soul's definition of "good" depended solely on technical skill, and there were no intangible reasons for enjoying music.

Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, H John Benjamin, Zach Galifianakis, Todd Barry, David Cross (to an extent).. These guys are all brilliant. There are more out there, too.. comedy is still alive and well, it just isn't as prevalent in our culture like it was in the 80's. This guy is good too, but not qui...

the problem with a wiki is that it is difficult to browse (in relation to a single regularly updated page), and is difficult to integrate into the current site design. a main page with show/flier updates in a simple blog form is way more effective. a wiki is too much for what we are trying to accomp...
