Re: What I will more than likely not be doing in July
Chuck D is more of a talk radio dude these days, but I doubt he can't rock a stage just like the old days. He's definitely not the kind of guy to do something solely for a paycheck- he's more politically involved now more than ever. I've also heard that Stephen M is a dick, but he could be Hitler fo...

80/35 Public Enemy Performing: July 3 Before Flavor Flav became a reality dating star, he and Chuck D were the frontmen for Public Enemy, a rap group that combined political savvy with hip-hop beats. PE albums “It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back” and “Fear of a Black Planet” are classics...

Starfucker - Starfucker
Dance-y synth pop. I saw these guys a few weeks ago, lots of fun. Everyone I've turned on to this band has become obsessed.

Jay Reatard - Singles 06-07
Straightforward Ramones-style pop punk. Lo-fi and catchy. I wish this dude was putting out records when I was a teenager.

Sparks - Propaganda http://files.me.com/sir.robert/eg64xs Early 70's power pop. Unlike most classic rock groups, these guys do not take themselves seriously at all. Lots of energy and over-the-top falsetto vocals with clever lyrics. So good and ahead of their time that they were only really appreci...

Department of Eagles - In Ear Park
Heavily layered melodic pop. Ethereal vocals. This was my favorite record of 2008.

Tobacco - Fucked Up Friends
Tobacco is the frontman of Black Moth Super Rainbow, and his solo stuff sounds basically the same as BMSR but on better drugs. Analog-electro psychedelic music.

It's all about what.cd. Though it may not be the best place for punk or metal specifically, it is easily the best overall music torrent site. Also awesome because it links related artists, so you can go on a spree of downloading stuff that sounds similar to something you're already into. PM me if yo...

I worked at DiTV in 2002, they were definitely better back then. I had to make deliveries to Fetus from time to time (DiTV and Fetus had a pretty close business relationship) and they didn't seem to have as good of a variety of smaller pieces. Ah well. If your piece doesn't get wrapped in paper it o...

Why buy a thousand dollar bong, when I can drive the Geo up to Minneapolis and buy a sweet glass bong for $46 at The Electric Fetus and then stop at White Castle on Lake & Blaisdale for some delicious Slyders before I head back to Iowa? I have tried the Volcano. It is quite good. I'm hoping som...

It does, but this is a pointless debate about music rather than a pointless debate about politics so it would be off-topic to elaborate.

Re: TL;DR Everyone is really, really fucking stupid. Everyone.
Varg makes plenty of valid points but completely disregards that the indefinable ass-shaking and soul-moving properties of music are equally if not more important. Dismissing music that relies on these properties shows that you have a very loose understanding of what it is to be human... just like h...

Re: "Milkshake" vs. "My Humps"
The album with Milkshake is pretty bad, but Kelis' first album was alright. Will not lie, both are in my iTunes library. Wanderland was one of the first strictly pop albums that the Neptunes produced, if I remember correctly. Either way, they're both better as instrumentals. Still don't like My Hump...

Restore the iPod. Plug it in, and click "Restore" on the Summary screen in iTunes. The Summary screen is the one with a picture of the iPod. This will erase everything on your iPod, but you can sync everything back onto it once you've restored it. Once you've restored, choose "set up ...

This is the best thing the internet has provided in a long time.
I was telling a co-worker about it the other day and some random dude walking by overheard, turned around and did a "I'm inhaling duster" pantomime. Shit is blowing up.
