Re: MOCK MEAT

I'm moving from CO in a month, and one of the things I'm going to miss most are the fine-ass fit-ass bodies the girls are sporting 'round these parts.

Re: ipod help

I doubt the problem is due to dirty contacts... unless you've been storing poop in your headphone jack. Never ran into that problem out of the thousands of iPods I have serviced. Try putting pressure on the headphone plug from various directions and see if the other channel comes back.. if that's th...

Re: MOCK MEAT

uh, what are your grounds for disagreement?

Colorado has the lowest obesity rate in the nation and is renown for outdoors activity, national parks, and general organic hippy/earthiness.

the only people I've heard refer to CO as a midwest state are people who moved here from the midwest.

Re: MOCK MEAT

Culturally it is quite different form midwestern states, too. There is a lot of Mexican influence and a greater connection with nature/environmental consciousness amongst the people. Also, far far far less fatties.

blow out the headphone jack with compressed air or computer duster - if you still see lint or anything in there, fish it out with a toothpick or similar tool. 9 times out of 10 what you're experiencing is caused by lint or debris in the jack.. the other time it is usually caused by putting too much ...

Re: Smashburger coming to Des Moines area

I'll say it - I wasn't overly impressed by In-N-Out. Maybe it's because I didn't get a chance to order a 16x16 beautiful monstrosity, or that they don't carry mayonnaise (I can appreciate burger purity as much as the next guy, but goddamnit I want some mayo for my fries, actually.. I require it)... ...

White Castle is food you eat during Hard Times. or when you are too intoxicated to know better. WC is bearable if you avoid the burgers... get the chicken rings, and try not to think about what part of a chicken the "ring" is. Also, can't fucking wait to eat B-Bops when I'm passing through...

That functionality isn't included with iTunes because of record industry politics. It's not as relevant now than it used to be, now that Apple is one of the world's largest music retailers, but when the iPod first came out (and there was no such thing as an iTunes music store) Apple had to prove to ...

Interesting how you put the correct english word for what you are trying to describe in quotation marks, like using that word is pretentious or something. anyway, it is in the best interest of both drivers and cyclists to look out for one another because injuring a cyclist is not going to be a fun t...

Re: bike porn.

It may be legal to ride your bike on the sidewalk in DSM, but that doesn't make it a good idea. It's far more dangerous to pedestrians and cyclists alike. As a cyclist I don't see the appeal to riding on the sidewalk anyway- you can't go as fast, people get in your way, the surface is less smooth, h...

I like everything he's done and that shapes my opinion of this movie a bit... but I'd say if any of his films can stand alone, it's this one. Definitely heavy with his typical style of dialogue, but it's used in a more suspenseful and tense way than his other films. More function, less style. Amazin...

Re: Music Consumers

I understand that buying music is paying for more than a physical object. I'll buy any cd by a band I like for $10 or so, but if someone is charging 15 bucks for a CD it better come with a blow job. Main point is that I get more value from the free download. I can get reviews and suggestions from th...

I'm not anti-music industry per se, but I'm not a sucker either. $15 for a piece of plastic worth less than a penny, containing data that I can otherwise procure for free and that can be played on every electronic device I use regularly... it just doesn't make sense. Re: Music Consumers

I don't often buy music. If it's something I really dig I will buy the record for my collection, but until I can pay for a product or service as good as what I get from a private torrent web site, the music industry doesn't get my dollar. I rationalize it by making sure I go to see bands that I like...

Claxon's is fantastic. I was kind of disheartened when I saw Herb walking around last time I ate there, but I doubt he's a chef. I mean, I really hope he isn't a chef. I'm just going to go ahead and not eat there ever again, actually.

You can get into more (and in my opinion better) shows after you're 21, so I don't see how your scene fun can possibly peak before then... unless it's more about nostalgia than seeing good bands play.

I'm "friends" with his sister on facebook. She posted something about him needing to look for a job at McDonalds, then she posted about hiring him to do yard work for her.

Sounds like he's still around town, still making basically nothing of himself.
