I bet I've been to more shows, played more shows and booked more shows than you, Joe or Thom combined. I don't go to shows now, because very few bands I like play around here (and I can't get my license back yet), it has nothing to do with the door price, smoke, the venue, etc.

Ed you fucking idiot, I never said anything to you in the first place. I took a shot at Joe, and you and Thom did the jumping all over. And yes, a couple of bucks being the difference between whether you go out and see a band or not DOES have everything to do with supporting the scene.

And yes, if 12 bucks is too much for you, don't go. It's the fact that, in the case that you like the band, 12 bucks is too much for you, that proves you don't support the bands/scene.

Most river levels are higher now or have been this week than they were in 93', and many have broken records. It's probably not a rumor.

and on the driving sacrifice vs money sacrifice, it is all about what people will and will not do to support the scene. you will not risk getting another ticket, i will not dish out extra money for bands i don't like. it's not a bigger sacrifice, it's a matter of what matters to each individual. ag...
