Re: A very incomplete IowaHardcore flier archive (97-02 era)

Yes, I am definitely missing waverly-mtown-cedarfalls-waterloo. I know I'll be getting contributions to more thoroughly represent iowa city and QC. I know a lot more happened in Sioux City that I have no fliers for. I have never seen a bad Botch show, every one was beyond great - you can't say that ...

Re: A very incomplete IowaHardcore flier archive (97-02 era)

It was probably a guy from Knut, with their weird liberated European sexualities. The swiss and their masturbating and children *tsk tsk. I made some really good looking fliers...but of all the ones to make shitty I made that Converge one really shitty...stupid drawing, bad typography - "looks...

Re: A very incomplete IowaHardcore flier archive (97-02 era)

up to 109 fliers from 49 on the first update, bigger images, bigger thumbnails. I photographed all my large format fliers, and added a bunch of contributions from Luke Tweedy (his posters for VB/10G mostly) and Jonny B of M&G. get in touch at mortycore@yahoo.com if you want to contribute. RE: lo...

Re: A very incomplete IowaHardcore flier archive (97-02 era)

Yeah, the Isis/Knut thing all went down before most people were there. The people in the room we used before us were doing a baby shower. Isis/Knut kept trying to load in and were asked to leave, got pissy and some one/some people in that tour party decided to get hostile in the parking lot...that's...

Re: A very incomplete IowaHardcore flier archive (97-02 era)

Even terrible fliers need love. I think Johnny Bee of M&G might get me a ton from his collection and possible Luke Tweedy's posters. Fliers I want: To Dream of Autumn @ Botan Tragedy @ Theta Beta Potata Any of the Botanical Center shows Even that Isis/Knut/Buried Inside show Re: Why no more Bota...

Re: A very incomplete IowaHardcore flier archive (97-02 era)

A surprising number of the bands listed on these fliers never actually played - but we booked 'em and that's what counts

Re: A very incomplete IowaHardcore flier archive (97-02 era)

I think it was 2000-01 sometime, but not sure...all my fliers are 97-02, but the year is never on them.

sxotty (scott schweinebart) did that show and the flier

A very incomplete IowaHardcore flier archive (97-02 era)

I've scanned all the fliers I have that fit on a scanner. They are primarily Botanical Center shows booked by me, sxotty, brizzi with a few Nate Fetus shows and even fewer from surrounding midwest venues. I will photograph larger poster size show fliers and get them up later . I'm still looking for ...

Des Moines Art Center - Iowa Artists 2010 Exhibition

I am one of the 15 artists in this exhibition, stop by and check it out. My work is the installation of arcades with pixel animations.

PS, anyone found a copy of that To Dream of Autumn - Botan show flier that they could scan and send?

morty, yeah he was part of the original fnb crew and has blonde hair. he lives in L.A. now working as a salt(undercover union organizing). i'll tell him you said hi.

that's so perfect - glad to hear he's still politically active.

Re: Hey, remember iowahardcore.com

HALP! Hey fellas, I'm looking for an old show flier, I can't even remember who the bands were. It was a Botanical Center show and the flier had the sideview of an head showing all the muscles in the head and face and the text was going in different directions, interlocking.... that is an awful descr...

Re: Hey, remember iowahardcore.com

conclusion correct, sort of. I loved catharsis and the image from the back of the passion album and the film the seventh seal. so not really a "band" tattoo. I also have a vidablue/tengrand shovel tattoo which IS a band tattoo. for breakfast morty had oatmeal. conclusion: morty likes oatme...

Re: Hey, remember iowahardcore.com

I think the domain iowahardcore.com was directed to 515 crew's page in late 2002 when I passed it to.... i can't even remember who took it over, the guys who ran 515crew.

DaVo, I'll be keeping the IAHC archived on my site indefinitely if you want to link it.

Re: Hey, remember iowahardcore.com

I believe those guys with the bandanas and work gloves were all omaha kids. that was a great show and converge was paid very well and surprised by that. After that we got more of the bigger hardcore acts coming through. The booking agent, Matt Pike, for all those hydrahead bands was a real piece of ...
