On January 7th, 2012, Radio Moscow played at DG's Taphouse in Ames, IA. This was only the second stop in a handful of shows in the Midwest, precursors to the U.S. tour with Graveyard.

After months of mounting tension within the band, Radio Moscow had come to an agreement that the current line-up would complete one last tour and then pursue separate endeavors. However, moments before taking the stage, the rhythm section informed Parker Griggs, guitarist and vocalist, they would not be continuing with the remainder of the tour. Griggs was discovered by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys and produced Radio Moscow's first self-titled album.

While frantically ending the second set with 'No Good Woman', Parker crashed his guitar into the drummer's cymbals, as he is often known to do. In accordance with the circumstances, this time he got a bit more intense and threw his guitar at the drum set, knocking over the right cymbal and floor tom.

In retaliation, the drummer then chose to aggressively launch the guitar back into Parker's face. Sending Parker to the ER where he received 14 stitches, while his Strat was carried away with merely a chip.

Despite this incident, Parker had talented musicians Billy Ellsworth on bass and Lonnie Blanton on drums fly into Chicago 2 days later to pick up the tour right where Radio Moscow had left off.

this whole thing is a frigging mess. i just can't believe how awful this all turned out, and on top of that, the disappointment i feel on all parties involved on this.

they all acted childish on this one.

Yeah it says a lot about a band's collective ego when, for instance, they are playing an all age show that ends at nine, but they play well into the late show's opening band's spot, and just when you think they are finally done they say, "this is our last song" and go into a ten minute dinosaur rock snoozer.
It's hard to pray with broken hands
