These Needles is my new punk rock band based out of IC. We played in Des Moines on Friday. If you missed out, here's the recordings we had available:

Feedback is appreciated. I know there's reverb on the vocals because some goth kid decided that would be a good idea for some reason. Go figure.

The recording quality is good. Nothing really seems to get lost in the mix. The reverb on the vocals doesn't seem unnatural at all, I think it sounds pretty good in context. I didn't hear the songs with dry vocals though so I don't have anything to compare to. It would've been nice to have eliminated the amp hum at the beginnings and ends of the tracks.
Musically, this is really tight. This is probably one of my favorite releases this year. I'm pretty bummed I missed the show. I'm looking forward to the next time I can see you live.

Honestly, I'm not to into the vocals, but that is about my only gripe. Other than that, this is some pretty good stuff. I like it. The production especially is really rad. Reminds me of old-school 80's punk how the guitars and drums sound. Almost like TSOL or something (but that is probably a horrible description)? It's sweet. Like Shane said...tight musically.
You dudes should set up a MySpace and make some of these songs available for the rest of the world to hear.

I dig the vocals, a lot. The vocals sound like Crispus Attucks, whom I also dig a lot.

Yeah, I wish some of the amp hum was gone too, but what are you gonna do? Eh.
Maxxwell, I don't know when our next weekend show is, but I will let you know when that happens.
Glad you guys dig it.
